Sichuan Impression is a three store restaurant chain that really does make an impression. Starting with a small location in Alhambra, the chain has expanded into West Los Angeles and Tustin. The food is delicious, intense, and, aside from a handful of spots in the San Gabriel Valley, unlike anything else you can get in The OC.
The menus is massive and offers the most traditional, most authentic possible Sichuan cuisine to the American eaters with elevation in the quality of raw material and a contemporary style.
Those who can’t handle spicy food won’t be able to appreciate true Sichuan cuisine. It has bold flavors, particularly the pungency and spiciness resulting from liberal use of garlic and chili peppers, as well as the unique flavor of Sichuan pepper. Every main course item on the menu, except for one, had a one to three pepper rating next to it. Those who like spicy food will love Sichuan Impression.
