This Superyacht Used To Be A Cruise Ship and It’s for Sale: Only $35 Million

This superyacht started life as a cruise ship, but in 2009 she was converted into a superyacht named Dubawi. And now she’s for sale for only $35 million. Considering that it will cost you over $1 million a foot to make a new superyacht, $35 million for a 297 foot former cruise ship is a really good deal!

Being an ex-cruise ship, Dubawi has a huge interior volume of 4,184 GT, which gives her more volume than Jeff Bezos 417 foot long megayacht. Her interior takes inspiration from the Art Deco style of the 1920s.

She can sleep up to 44 guests across eight VIP suites, 13 doubles and two owner’s staterooms. There’s also accommodation for 71 crew members (this was a cruise ship, after all).

Dubawi has pretty much everything you can imagine a private cruise ship would have. There’s a huge guest lounge and two saloons that can be used as game rooms or screening rooms. There’s also a nightclub and even a hospital! Dubawi also has something that most Superyachts don’t. An elevator connecting all decks.

Dubawi is the ideal superyacht for someone looking to travel the world with a large group of friends or family members. Not many yachts have their own nightclub onboard.

She is not as fast as today’s superyachts. Her twin MAN engines allow her to reach top speed of 15 knots and cruise at 13.5 knots. Then again, when you’re in a yacht this cool, do you really want to get there fast?

Since being converted into a superyacht, Dubawi had only one owner, and she has never been chartered. She’s currently docked in Dubai and waiting for her new owner. If that’s you, then give the sales agent a call.
