Some Cool Tips to Increase Fiverr

Over the years, has been very good to me and I’ve used it to outsource work while earning money for myself at the same time. I use to write content on the network when I first started out in the industry because I needed a source of income. Even though is very popular, it can be very hard to earn some decent money. You have to remember a few things about

First, you are earning roughly $4.50 USD for a job when completed and if you write content, this can be a very long and hard process. Secondly, you have enormous competition and this can interfere with your money making if you start to slow down and receive a few bad reviews. Third, payment takes 2 weeks after a gig has been marked as completed and this can be very long for someone who is looking for a quick cash injection. However, is great for other people located globally. Why?

It all has to do with exchange rate and a $4.50 USD payout roughly works out to 500 rupees in India and Pakistan. In some other places, you are getting paid some more money depending on the exchange rate. This is why when you do an search, you’ll notice the highest traffic comes from India, USA, and Pakistan.

I still encourage people to try and establish a connection on because it helps you get acquainted with the fundamentals of being successful. You start to discipline yourself to follow a pattern or routine. You work hard to get the work completed and it feels good to earn some money. I use to write roughly 8-10 articles a day for my clients on and this taught me how to balance my work. It taught me discipline and that work needs to be completed no matter what time it is during the day. A deadline is very important so you start sacrificing other parts of your lifestyle to make sure the work is completed on time. Remember, at this time, I wasn’t earning any money so needed the cash flow so I made sure I got the work done. However, the MOST important lessons I learned over time was how to optimize my gigs to earn more.

Here are a few things I learned over time.

Learn the Basics

For you to succeed on, you have to know the fundamentals about selling. You need to know what sells and how to set up your gigs. Learn how to add keywords, images, and the right description to be found. Personally, I’ve found visiting different categories will give you a good idea on where you should be, but more importantly, focus on what you’re good at. For example,

  • Do you write great content?
  • Are you an expert logo designer?
  • Are you great at videos?
  • Professional SEO

To get a good idea, simply visit some of the categories and move forward from there because you’ll get great inspiration. Either way, you need to familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of before you get started.

Add a Video has stated adding a gig video will increase your selling rate by 200% because it gives people more depth into your gig. Just like video tutorials outperform text, gigs with videos have been proven to do better sales wise compared to simple text. Adding a video builds a level of comfort and you’ll get a chance to showcase your gig in more depth, increasing the chance of conversions. Here’s a little trick to help you out…

You can get a video created for $5.00 on and then upload it to your gig. Just make sure you are detailed in your requirements so the video comes out perfect. Send important information to be added to the video like proven statistics, breakdown of gig, and add a personal touch to introduce yourself to the customer.

Delivery Time Matters

With, delivery times is a huge contributing factor in increasing sales. You have to remember a majority of people outsourcing on are looking for a quick turnaround time so need the project delivered within 2-3 days. When I was selling gigs on, I was outselling people who have been on there for 3-4 years just because my delivery time was half theirs. Before listing your gig, it’s important to find out the average delivery time for your category, which can be done two ways.

First, start by skimming through the other gigs, looking for average time, which is the longer way of doing things. Secondly, you can use the advanced filter to narrow down the times, which is something recently introduced. I would filter down delivery times to the shortest then try and work something better because it will definitely help boost your selling rate.

In Part 2, I’ll be covering some more awesome strategies to increasing gig selling rates. When you utilize all of these strategies together, you’ll be able to increase conversions quickly and make money through simply gigs.
