Slow Wednesday

Not much happen today. Faxed off an MSP application for Sarah so she can get Canadian medical coverage. Right now she is covered by Regence BlueShield but it’s extremely expensive compared to MSP. Also dropped by the Department of Human Resources and Skills Development (HRSD) office in Richmond to get Sarah a Social Insurance Number (SIN) card.

Normally a SIN card takes 4 to 6 weeks to get. This was too long for our liking so I told them to fast track it. They said the only way they can do that is if she was already working and have a letter from her employer saying they need a SIN ASAP for payroll. So I hired her. The SIN will show up in 48 hours.

Other than those two pieces of running about, the only other thing worth noting was I got a haircut. Also, Sharon wants to throw a “Welcome to Canada” party for Sarah. I think that’s a great idea. We’re planning that for a week Saturday.
