Twitter Tip of The Day: Make a Custom Twitter Homepage
Want to increase your chance of getting more Twitter followers? Then stop using the default Twitter background on your Twitter homepage. Instead, you should create a custom background with some information about you and why users should follow you. You’ll see a nice increase in conversions.
You can put as much information as you want on your background. At the very least, I would say you need a photo and URL to your blog. I added the URL to my accounts on Digg, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn so users have more than one way to connect with me. My Twitter background was designed by Nate Whitehill of Unique Blog Designs.
