Elon Musk’s New Home Is 375 Square Foot Box

With a fortune of almost $200 billion, Elon Musk is the richest person in the world. He used to own six mega mansions in prestigious Bel Air, California. However, since moving to Texas, Elon has decided to live a more minimalist lifestyle. He sold all his mansions and is now living in a tiny 375 square foot box house!

The tiny house is manufactured by Boxabl. They claim to be the world’s most advanced housing factory. Their first product, called the Casita, is the unit Elon is living in and cost only $49,500.

The Casita is made from steel, concrete and EPS foam. These are building materials that don’t degrade and will last a lifetime. The walls, floor and roof are structurally laminated panels that are much stronger than the average building. However, the units are still light enough that you can tow your new house home with your Tesla Model X.

The Boxabl building system allows different modules to be stacked and connected so you can build any style of home. New Box sizes will likely be 20×20, 20×30, 20×40, 20×60.

The Casita is available for pre-order right now. There is no cost to reserve a unit, but you’ll be at the end of the line. Paying a $200 deposit adds your name to the waitlist. Paying $5,000 will get you early access to the Casita and a $1,000 discount. Or you can be like Elon and pay $49,500 up front, and be part of the early deployment program. You’ll also get a free lifetime warranty. I should add a Casita to my backyard. It’ll make for a cool little man cave.
