In this video, I unbox and review the Titanium Recovery Seed Backup by ColdTi. This is a device made to keep your crypto seed words offline and safe from disasters and attacks.
Made from high grade titanium, the ColdTi claims to be the world’s best crypto seed storage device. It’s fireproof, waterproof, time proof and tamper resistant.
ColdTi won’t rust, melt or mutilate in even the most extreme fire. The device can accommodates any seed words and is designed to be inconspicuously sealed with numbered, holographic stickers to indicate tampering. Setting up the ColdTi is done in three easy steps.
Step 1
Neatly engrave or stamp the seed words using 2.5mm or 3mm stamps. You can use the actual words or the number associated with the word from the BIP39 wordlist.
Step 2
Close the ColdTi, with the seeds inward, using the supplied binding posts. You will need a flat head screwdriver (not supplied).
Step 3
Seal the plates with the included uniquely numbered, holographic stickers, then put the ColdTi away in a safe place. Your seed word backup is now protected and safe.
The ColdTi sells for only $35, and allows you to back up 48 words. Since all BIP39 wallets requires 24 words at most, it means you can use the ColdTi to backup two hardware wallets (four wallets if using 12 words). This represents amazing value when compared to other seed backup solutions. Keep in mind that in order to use the ColdTi, you will need to buy a stamp kit and a hammer if you don’t already have one.
