AdSense for Feeds Rocking Google

I’ve only been running AdSense for Feeds for a few days but if early stats are any indication, Google has a winner on their hands. I’ve already made more in one day with AdSense for Feeds than I made in a full month running the now dead FeedBurner Ad Network.

The Migration Process

Google took about four days to migrate my feed from FeedBurner over to my Google account. Once that was done, it was just a simple matter of turning on AdSense for Feeds in my Google AdSense control panel.

The migration process changes your feed URL from feeds.feedburner.com/yoursite to feedproxy.google.com/yoursite. However, you need not worry about losing your feed count because Google set up a redirect that will direct anyone using the old FeedBurner feed to the new Google feed. You don’t need to update any URLs on your blog if you don’t want to. However, I did it anyway to prevent too much redirect hopping.

What Does The Ad Look Like?

The screen shot below gives you an idea on what the AdSense for Feeds ad looks like. To get a true idea, check out this blog with your Google RSS readers. If you’re not subscribed to the blog, then subscribe and take a look.

With AdSense for Feed, Google opened up a huge new revenue channel. If my earlier results are any indication, AdSense for Feed is going to help Google continue setting record revenues. The stock is trading at $483 right now. Maybe I should pick some up.
