Envy Steakhouse is located inside the Renaissance Hotel, which is right next to the Las Vegas Convention Center. I tried to book Envy to host my TTZ Media dinner but they couldn’t accommodate a group that big on a CES night. However, I still wanted to try the place and decided the best way would be to just go there after CES closes at 6PM. Bob, his girlfriend Ashley, Justin from WC101.com and Jason from TechWareLabs were all at the LVCC during closing time so I asked them to join Sarah and myself.
Envy is the first steakhouse I’ve been to that served Foie Gras and I just love Foie Gras! Their selections of steaks range from a signature prime bone-in ribeye (Justin had that) to a big 22oz Porterhouse (my selection). Envy is a New York style steakhouse so sides are extra. We added some wild mushroom with port wine, fried onion rings and green asparagus hollandaise to share “family style.” The steaks at Envy were among the best I’ve tasted. It was cooked just right and full of flavor. Price wise, Envy wasn’t too bad. Dinner for six came in at $600 with tax and tip.
Having dinner at Envy was a great idea. The line up for cabs at the end of CES was crazy! By spending a couple of hours eating, we didn’t have to fight the thousands of people trying to get a cab. Not that it matter since our limo was waiting to take us to the Sony poker party afterwards.
In the limo going to the Sony Online poker party. Do I know how to roll or what? 😈
