Joshua Tree National Park is my favorite place to take pictures of the Milky Way. However, the park is also known for the Invisible House that was built in 2019 by American Psycho producer Chris Hanley. And now you can rent that house for $150,000 a month.
The house, designed by Hollywood architect Tomas Osinski, sits on 90 acres inside the national park, and features a mirrored facade that reflects the surrounding Mojave Desert, creating the illusion that the structure is invisible.
The interior offers 6,210 square feet of living space on a single level. The walls are made of floor to ceiling heat-reflecting glass to give a panoramic views of the desert while also keeping the living space cool.
Most of the interior space is taken up by a 100 feet long indoor pool. If you’ve always wanted to throw a pool party in the dessert, this is the house for you! In addition to the giant pool, there’s an open living room, dining room, five full bathrooms, a modern kitchen, and four bedrooms.
The Invisible House is available for rent by Engel & Völkers Santa Monica. Rates are $150,000 per month or $6,000 per day. Rentals comes with bespoke concierge with staff. Alternatively, the house is available for $1,000 per hour for fashion, music and other events.
