Join Me At NamesCon Las Vegas

My friend Richard Lau emailed me last night to let me know about a new conference he’s hosting in Las Vegas. With over 400 attendees expected, NamesCon will be the largest Conference dedicated exclusively for the Internet Name Industry.

Taking place January 13 – 15 at the Tropicana, NamesCon overlaps Affiliate Summit West (ASW runs Jan 12-14, and NamesCon runs Jan 13-15). If you’re already going to the ASW, then it makes sense to check out NamesCon as well.

What Is NamesCon?

NamesCon is Richard’s personal vision of what an industry-wide conference should be. He’s putting his name, brand, reputation, and his own capital into it. What can you expect from NamesCon? Content, and lots of it. What can you not expect? Food and flash and domain auctions.

NamesCon will be about the networking and the content. We all know there is no channel like the internet domain name channel, and 2014 is an amazing year of expansion, growth, change and opportunities in all areas of the registry, registrar and registrant internet name space. To address the many topics at hand, NamesCon will have over 30 content sessions led by the industry’s leading experts in three simultaneous tracks, AND four Keynote speakers including Frank Schilling and Jeremy Schoemaker.

Content is king, both online and at conferences. NamesCon will have that content. Put an idealist in charge, take away the food, and suddenly you can turn the conference world on its head. How about we start at $199? Sure you’ll have to go buy your own lunch, maybe even have to order breakfast in to your room before hitting the conference. But you aren’t here for the food, you are here to feast on content and relationships.

Like I said, if you’re attending Affiliate Summit, then you should really come to NamesCon as well and learn about the opportunities coming down the pipe with all of the new gTLDs like .xyz, .ski, .bar, .buzz and so on. Hundreds of millions of dollars are coming into the space and you can meet with everyone from ICANN to GoDaddy to new companies like Donuts. It’s a real land-rush and it’s going to change the landscape of the face of the internet.

My buddy Jeremy “Shoemoney” Schoemaker is one of the keynote speakers. That along makes NamesCon worth going to. Another reason is the price. $199 is an amazing value for a three-day conference! However, you need to get your ticket before the end of the month to take advantage of the early bird price. The price will double in December, and then increased again to $599 in the new year. Onsite registration will cost $749.

I already got my ticket. I hope you get yours. See you at NamesCon and Affiliate Summit!
