Time freedom, money freedom, and location freedom. That’s what the Dot Com Lifestyle is all about. It is the ultimate lifestyle. It means being able to go anywhere with friends and family, and make money while you’re doing it.
Right now, I’m in the middle of an electric car road trip with my new Tesla Model X. We’ve been in Murrieta Hot Springs for the past few days, and we’re heading over the Palm Springs right now. Here are some photos from our journey so far.
Recharging At The Tesla Supercharger
When Tesla first introduced their electric car, “range anxiety” was a big concern. Customers were worried that they would run out of battery power in the middle of nowhere and be stuck. Those worries no longer exists thanks to Tesla’s network of Supercharger stations.
The Superchargers can add 170 miles of range in only 30 minutes. We recharged the Model X at the Temecula Supercharger at The Promenade shopping center. We went for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen while the car recharged. By the time we sat down for lunch, I got a noticed on my phone that the Model X was fully charged.
The list of Tesla Superchargers is built into the GPS of the Model X. As you can see, there are a dozen Superchargers within 100 miles of me. With a 257 miles range for the Model X, there is zero chance that we’ll be stranded during our road trip.
The best part is, these Superchargers are free for life for all Model S and Model X owners. Thanks to the Tesla Superchargers, I can drive across the country without spending a cent on power.
Paying To Pick My Own Berries
We spent a few hours at the Temecula Berry Co to pick some blueberries. At $5 a pint, the berries are quite expensive, but you’re really paying to experience what it’s like to be a berry picker. It’s fun for the kids, but I rather live the Dot Com Lifestyle.
Wine Tasting At Callaway Vineyard & Winery
Besides the Napa Valley, Temecula is the other wine country in California. It is home to dozens of winery. We went to do some wine tasting at the Callaway Vineyard & Winery. Most people think of golf when they hear the name Callaway, and the winery was founded by the same person who founded Callaway Golf. His son is the founder of Callaway Cars, the makers of the Callaway Corvette. You can tell that entrepreneurship runs deep in the Callaway family.
That Was Fun, Let’s Do It Again!
The kids had so much fun picking blueberries, they wanted to do it again. Instead of going back to the same farm, we went to Kenny’s Strawberry Farm to do some u-pick strawberries. I still like living the Dot Com Lifestyle more.
Heating Up At Murrieta Hot Springs
After a long day of picking berries and tasting wine, it’s time to take a dip in the hot spring. The Murrieta Hot Springs has multiple pools to get wet in. They range from above warm to cook you alive. I don’t recommend the last one.
