This video was made a while back when Lemmy and I decided it would be cool to video tape ourselves doing the Grouse Grind and make fun of all the people we passed. However, we found that carrying a camcorder while climbing a mountain proved harder than we expected. So in the end, we just raced up the mountain, passed a bunch of people then waited at the top for the people we passed. Then we made fun of them! Enjoy the video.
The Grouse Grind – often referred to as “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster” is a rigorous 2.9 km (1.8 mile) hike that takes you straight up the face of Grouse Mountain. By the time you reach the plateau, your ascent will have gained 853 metres (2,800 feet) – one and a half times the height of Toronto’s CN Tower. The average completion time is 1.5 hours.
