Apple VP of Procurement Tony Blevins was at Monterey Car Week in Peddle Beach when he was approached by TikTok creator Daniel Mac, who asked him what he does for a living that he can afford to drive a $500,000 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
“I have rich cars, play golf, and fondle big-breasted women, but I take weekends and major holidays off,” Mr. Blevins answered with a laugh. “If you’re interested, I’ve got a hell of a dental plan,” he added.

The responses appeared to be a quote from the 1981 film Arthur, where a character says, “I race cars, play tennis and fondle women, but I have weekends off and I am my own boss.”
While it’s pretty clear the Apple VP was joking, it didn’t go over well with Apple’s human resources department. Apple confirmed the executive has left the company, which is a nice way of saying he was fired.
“I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my mistaken attempt at humor,” Mr. Blevins said in an interview with Bloomberg.
