BlogRush Version 2 went live today with new and improved stat reporting. I figure I would use it to share how BlogRush is performing for me. When BlogRush was giving just temp stats I wasn’t able to see how much traffic, if any, it was sending me or how many total credits I have build up. All that information is now available.
For those who don’t know what BlogRush is, or need a refresher, you can read my first post about BlogRush here. By adding the BlogRush Widget to your blog, you get distribution for your latest blog post titles across a network of related blogs. BlogRush users earn credits based on their own traffic as well as the traffic of other users they refer to BlogRush.
My BlogRush Stats
As you can see, I have a huge credit balance with BlogRush. Now that the system has been cleaned of spam blogs, BlogRush should be serving out my credits and I should get a nice flood of traffic.
The Importance of Controlling The BlogRush Headline
Looking at the traffic BlogRush has sent me, I can tell you it’s extremely important that you control the headline that shows up in the BlogRush widget. I have two John Chow dot Com blogs registered with BlogRush. One lists all the current posts and one list only posts that I want to show up.
In the first case, my click rate was a pretty pathetic 0.1%. However, I was able to get 0.3% click rate by using controlled headlines. My credit balance with BlogRush is 7.8 million. That’ll be over 23,000 visitors at 0.3% click rate. BlogRush now allows you to delete blogs from your account and I have removed the John Chow dot Com blog that was showing all my posts and left the blog that allows me to control the headline.
I wrote a post on how to control your BlogRush headline back in September. I recommend you read it if you want to get the most out of BlogRush.
