How Google Has Been Treating Me Since Unbanning Me

As many of you know, Google lifted their ban on me about two weeks ago. I thought it might be interesting to show you how Google has been treating me since. I should note that a few of my Internet Marketing friends are concerned over me showing this information because it was revealing too much info that got me into trouble in the first place. However, revealing too much information was also what made me famous. So let the chips fall where they may.

Below is a Google Analytics chart showing traffic sent by the giant search engine from July 1 to 23. As you can see, prior to July 10, Google traffic was pretty much zero. However, it has exploded since then.

Google Traffic

I have stated that Google would only need to send me 2,000 visitors a month in order for me to make up the income lost by the removal of Text Links Ads. As you can see, Google sent more than that within a few days of letting me back into the index. I expect search traffic to continue to increase in the coming weeks and months.

The number 1 search term people used to find John Chow dot Com is, believe it or not, “John Chow”. This should tell you how much sites like johncow and notjohnchow were benefiting for being ranked for my name. Even Shoemoney is upset about it and sent the following Tweet to Google.

@Shoemoney (Jeremy Schoemaker) says:
Google can you ban johnchow.com again… my search traffic for john chow is down 90% =P

Those with a sharp eye may noticed that Google sent me 164 people searching for “Whores” (I’m ranked on page 1 or 2, depending on the data center, for that term). However, those visitors didn’t stay long because I didn’t have the whores they were looking for.
